About the Cottage

Caerllwyn (or Cae'r-llwyn) sits on the edge of the 'waterfall country' in the Brecon Beacons National Park, placing you within easy reach of all the major South Wales caving areas — OFD, Dan yr Ogof, Porth yr Ogof and more. The Gower Peninsula and Pen y Fan are also a short drive away.

The WSG first rented the cottage in 1968 before purchasing the property and surrounding land in 1993.

The Red Lion Inn is a short walk up the hill and offers a wide selection of real ales. The New Inn in Rhigos serves good food. Both are around 15 minutes on foot. All you really need to bring is a sleeping bag and food.
